The Advanced Base Camp HMS Sawtooth Auto Locking Carabiner is the most reliable auto locking carabiner we have found. Quality is second to none.

To open the Sawtooth simply twist the knurled sleeve clockwise and push the gate open. As soon as you let go the Sawtooth automatically closes and locks the gate. And unlike many auto locking carabiners it doesn't easily jam in sand, dirt and ice. This carabiner is Light, Reliable and Strong!

The Sawtooth is the perfect auto locking belay/rappel carabiner. It's single action autolock reduces the margin for error. Its large surface area makes for silky smooth rappels and belays.

The ABC Sawtooth Carabiner has proven to be great midsize auto-locking carabiner. I’ve used this carabiner for mountaineering, climbing, belaying, rappelling and ascending over the last four years. The auto-locking action is smooth and reliable. I haven’t had one jam on me yet, even in icy or dirt conditions. The auto-locking mechanism provides an extra measure of safety. The round edges and size make this an ideal carabiner for rappelling and belaying.
