Description   The Black Diamond ATC-XP is a  true variable-friction belay rappel device. The ATC-XP maintains the silky-smooth feeding of Black Diamond's ATC but increases the braking power. For belaying and rappelling with 7.7-11 millimeter ropes, it’s designed with a smooth low friction side and a high friction side with v-shaped grooves for three times more friction. This means less effort to brake falls and rappels. An extended central cable keeps biners and ropes properly oriented and reduces kinking.
