I have used the Black Diamond Alpine Bod climbing harness on Mt. Rainier, Mt. Whitney, Mt. Orizaba and in the Teton and Wasatch ranges. The Alpine Bod is simple and comfortable. The leg loops have quick-release buckles on them that allow you to adjust for leg size and drop the leg loops completely for putting on crampons or skis.
Two gear loops give you a place to rack your protection while climbing. The loop connecting to your leg loops must be put through a locking carabiner, and that carabiner must be put through the waist belt on the harness, for the harness to be used safely. The harness is built really sturdy and has stood up to lots of use on my part. It is comfortable to use for mountaineering, ice climbing, belaying, rappelling and top rope climbing.
There is no better mountaineering/climbing harness at this price. Great value!
