Description   The Epic Kayak Full Carbon Mid Wing is the ultimate two piece racing kayak paddle! There are several features that put Epic paddles above the rest. They use True Oval shafts that provide a better grip and greater strength. The Epic Length Lock system with Length Lock Wrench allows precision length and angle adjustments. Length Lock also gives a solid dependable connection between shafts. Epic uses the best materials and the best paddle tested designs. Kayak wing paddles have proven to be faster than conventional paddles time and time again. Because wing paddles provide lift like an airplane wing instead of drag on the rear face of the paddle, wing paddles give more speed and effeciency. Carbon fiber shafts and blades help to reduce the weight to an incredible 1 pound 8 ounces. This is lighter than almost all one and two piece paddles. The two piece Length Lock design allows you to adjust the paddle at any angle and adjust the length from 210 to 220 cm. This allows you to have a long paddle for use in wide kayak or a short paddle for use in a narrow kayak. Burgundy shaft is Epic Kayaks lightest weight shaft and has a medium flex. Provides Top Performance and Comfort November 15, 2005 Reviewer: Michael (GearZone.com Tester) from Utah, United States   I paddled and raced with the Epic Kayak 2pc Carbon Wing Paddle this last year. The oval shafts where you grip the paddle are really nice. It makes short and long paddles a lot more comfortable for your hands. The paddle is extremely light and didn’t show any damage after a year of hard use. The Length Lock adjustment allows precision adjustments to both the length and angle of the paddle. The Length Lock didn’t slip on me at any time. The paddle comes with a small plastic wrench that allows you to loosen the tightening collet on the paddle. The blade is a work of art and function. The catch is great and the blade flowed smoothly through the water. I own five kayak paddles now and the Epic 2pc Carbon Mid-Wing Paddle is the one I choose to race with.
