The Giro Flume helmet gives kid's the same quality helmet as the adults. In-mold construction offers great protection and durability. 20 vents provides excellent ventilation. Cool designs match kid's unique personalities.

The Acu Dial™ fit system combines single-handed adjustment, wide range of adjustment and extra stability, while simplifying the fit process.

In-mold construction fuses a tough outer microshell to the helmet's internal EPS liner. By fusing the shell with the liner, In-mold helmets are reinforced in crucial areas around vents and ribs, resulting in lighter and tougher helmets.

Kids Like the Looks & Safety is Excellent	November 16, 2005

I am writing this from my indirect experience and what my nephew McKay has told me. McKay in ten years old and is an adventure racer is the making. He loves to ride his bike, scooter and ride horses with his Grandpa. He tends to be on the wild side of all these activities so we thought we better get him the best helmet that we would actually wear.

We let him pick which design he wanted in the Flume and it was no surprise that he chose the Yellow and Black Flames. After a full season of use the helmet is still in great shape and McKay actually likes to wear the helmet because he thinks it is cool. He says that it is comfortable, but I think the cool looks out way the comfort factor. Giro designs the Flume with all the safety features of their adult helmets, so we feel that safety of the helmet is excellent.
