Hammer Gel is the Best! November 15, 2005 Reviewer: Michael (GearZone.com Tester) from Utah, United States   Hammer Gel is awesome! It tastes great and works really well. I have used Hammer Gel for the last five years of adventure racing and use it on long workouts as well. My two favorite flavors are raspberry and espresso. The espresso version has caffeine in it, which can be an advantage at certain times. The 100% complex carb formula gives me energy and calories without any sugar crash. It mixes well into water. I have been really dehydrated racing and couldn’t eat energy gel. By mixing the gel into a water bottle, I was able to get the calories I needed and the water had a slight good taste to it. I’ve tested a lot of different gels, but haven’t found any that I like as much as Hammer Gel. Was this review helpful to you?
