The Trangia Mini Stove System is compact and lightweight, perfect for the minimalist. Specially produced for the Karrimor International Mountain Marathon multi-sport competition. Weighs only 12 ounces.
Includes: alcohol burner, 0.8 liter aluminum pot, wind shield, pot lifter and nonstick fry pan that doubles as a lid. Made of high-quality brass, the alcohol burner requires no pumping or preheating, simply strike a match and light. Cook at a boil or a simmer, slide the simmer ring over the burner to adjust the flame. Trangia stoves burn denatured alcohol, non-explosive, easy to find, odorless and environmentally friendly.
Weight specification for burner and windscreen only (5.75 ounces). Pot weighs additional 3.3 ounces. Fry Pan/lid weighs 2.43 ounces. Pot lifter weights 0.7 ounces.
Trangia stoves are lightweight and very portable, making them ideal for camping and backpacking. The brass burner comes with its own lid, which allows it to act as a burner with the lid removed, and as a storage container for the alcohol fuel.
Fuel is easy found in the US and Internationally. In hardware stores look for denatured alcohol in the paint thinner section, in pharmacies look for rubbing alcohol, also sold as 'alcohol stove fuel', 'shellac thinner', 'solvent alcohol'. |
