Description   The Prijon Barracuda is a sleek graceful kayak designed for superior speed and high performance. The trihedral hull design coupled with the stiff attributes of High Performance Thermoplast makes this an exceptionally fast and durable kayak. With a width of just 21" and length of 16' 11" the barracuda has the dimensions of a racing kayak. Features include an adjustable seat with pad, thighbrace and backbrace with cover for comfortable, extended expeditions. Hatch, bow & stern, combine neoprene, hard plastic and quick-release webbing straps for dry, easy use. The bow deck pack net, two stern storage nets and day hatch organize those small essential items. Well placed deck lines aid in the event of a self-rescue. Ergonomic carrying handles make loading and unloading a snap. If you are looking for an exceptionally fast kayak that also has the durability of high performance thermoplast the Prijon Barracuda is for you. Tough and Very Fast! November 15, 2005 Reviewer: Michael (GearZone.com Tester) from Utah, United States   If you’re looking for the super fast “plastic kayak” the Prijon Barracuda is it. It is the fastest solo plastic kayak that I have ever tested. It glides through the water quickly and handles very well as long as you have a rudder. The seats are comfortable and the foot pegs are easily adjustable for length. Two hatches provide enough room for a full day out on the water. I paddled this kayak twice and was very impressed both times by its speed. I own a tandem Prijon kayak and I can attest to how incredibly tough the Prijon kayaks are. They can take a lot of hard use. The five star rating is for the Barracuda with rudder. I found the Barracuda without the rudder difficult to use in following waves. Was this review helpful to you?
