Super comfortable & well rounded. September 3, 2006 Reviewer: Michael (GearZone.com Tester) from Utah, United States   The XA Pro 3D fits me better than any other shoe that I have tested so far. It feels as if it was made for my foot. This awesome fit reduces hot spots and blisters for me. I like the lower to the ground ride. It feels more stable than other shoes that have thicker soles. The only drawback to this is that I wish it had a little more support. It works great for me for runs up to 3 hours long, but after that I wish for more support. For the vast majority of runners this should not be an issue. The quick pull lacing system works great. Pull the tightener once and tuck it into its own little pocket and forget about it. You don’t have to worry about your laces coming undone or getting snagged on a branch. The traction is good on everything except ice and really muddy conditions. The mesh material breathes really well and is durable. The shoe flexes very naturally for me. When I run in them everything just feels right and natural. Most shoes don’t give me this level of comfort. Ventilation, traction, support and cushioning are all very good. I own over 50 pair of trail running shoes and the XA Pro 3D are in my top 3 favorites. They just do everything well! If your looking for a trail running shoe for runs under 3 hours, the Salomon XA Pro 3D is excellent. It also makes a great hiking shoe and every day shoe.
