The new Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra improves on the popular XA Pro 3D by increasing the front cushioning and protection.

The low profile chassis and sole places you close to the ground for stability, while providing excellent comfort by utilizing Salomon's patented 3D technology. Assymetrical Kevlar lacing is durable and fast to use. Quicklace system allows independent adjustment of midfoot and forefoot.

Built to address the speed needs during fast-paced Adventure Races or rugged extended runs. Incredibly lightweight and breathable. Very quick drying. 3D advanced chassis is designed for maximizing protection and forefoot agility without compromising flexibility and ground feeling.

Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra Review

I’ve used the Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra Review for about a year now and think they are one of the best trail shoes available for running, hiking and everyday use.

The are extremely comfortable, at least for my feet. They provide a great combination of support and protection, yet are still lightweight. The soles are great in almost all trial conditions.

The Quicklace lacing system is fast to use, stays put, and can’t come untied. The little pocket that the extra laces and fastener go into keeps them from getting caught in the bushes.

The uppers are highly breathable. If I could change anything about these shoes, it would be the mesh on the uppers. They let in more dust and fine sand that I would like. Even with that, these are the shoes that I trail run and hike in most.
