Just completed a 15 mile trail run in a section of upper Zion Canyon. These gaiters worked perfect! The only way I knew I had them on was because there was no sand or rocks in my shoes! I would highly recommend these for trail runing or hiking. They performed perfect!

The updated Montbell Stretch Gaiter is a simple yet effective ultralight gaiter for trail running, adventure racing and hiking. The dynamic stretch material is awesome. It is really tough, breathes well, keeps out dirt, rocks, snow, resists water and stretches for comfort. There is a small hook up front to attach to your shoe laces. Elastic material at the top and bottom of the gaiter provide a good fit.
The strap that goes underneath your shoe is simple stretch cord that is covered by a tough polymer sleeve. The reinforced strap is 0.2 inches in thickness, so in fits nicely on most trail running soles. The strap attaches with a simple hook. The way the gaiter is designed the strap can be replaced by the user. 1/8” Shock Cord is the size that I have found is best to replace the stretch cord with.
I’ve used these gaiters for numerous trail runs and several adventure races and mountain bike rides that included hike-a-bike sections. They have proven to be comfortable and effective, but I do wish that the top was adjustable for diameter, but the stretch binding gives a good fit for most people, including me. The gaiters allowed me to go faster, with more comfort, compared to not using gaiters.
